The Release & Refresh Class has been refreshed!
Now offering beginner and intermediate level R&R classes
Hello friends!
A popular offering here at Studio A is our Release and Refresh class. These drop-in classes allow your body to release stored tension through various stretches and nervous system exercises, helping to build resilience to stress.
Taking into consideration some feedback from our regulars, and Allie’s desire to continue to grow in our offerings at the studio, we have some exciting changes to announce that will go into effect March 1.
“Release & Refresh” now with 2 different levels: Beginner & Intermediate
You may be wondering, what is the difference between the two? Which one should I sign up for? Great questions! Here’s the breakdown in differences…
Beginner Level Class - 1.5 hours - $24
This class is for those new to these classes and/or those who are still acclimating to somatic work. Includes a thorough orientation at the beginning of class and full demonstrations of the techniques we'll utilize so you feel prepared.
One Wednesday evening class per month, 7:00-8:30pm, usually the 1st or 2nd Wednesday of the month. This is a mid-week chance to keep the stress at bay and to engage in self-care. Led by Allie and/or Callie.
One Saturday morning class per month, 9:00-10:30am, usually one of the last Saturdays of the month. Start off your weekend right by releasing tension and reclaiming your sense of calm. Led by Callie.
Intermediate Level Class - 2 hours - $32
This class is for those who have attended these classes before and are acclimated to the pacing, positioning, and content. Slightly longer so as to go deeper into the work, and less time spent on orientation and demonstrations.
One Friday evening class per month, 6:00-8:00pm, usually one of the last Fridays of the month. Decompress from the week, release stored tension, and find refreshment for moving forward. Led by Allie.
We have openings in this weekend’s classes, so grab a spot here before they disappear! You’ll see they are already labeled “Beginner” and “Intermediate” level, but those varying levels will not actually be implemented until March 1, so feel free to sign up for whichever date/time (Fri night or Sat morning) works best for your schedule. Or if you’d like to read more about the classes before signing up, you can do so here.
Saying goodbye to Michelle 🥲
Michelle has been co-leading the Release and Refresh classes at Studio A since its conception about a year and a half ago. We are thankful for the yoga expertise and warm presence she has brought to these classes. Due to growing family obligations, she will be stepping away from the Release and Refresh classes after this weekend. Michelle, thank you for all the time, dedication and creativity you have poured into these classes over the years. You will be missed!
Healthy Helpers online course starts in less than 2 weeks!
A reminder that Allie’s online course Healthy Helpers: Developing Therapeutic Longevity, specifically designed for therapists, clergy, addictions counselors, bodyworkers, first responders, and other helping professionals starts on Friday, February 28. The course will meet every Friday during the lunch hour (12:15 - 1:45pm) for 6 weeks, and will teach somatic strategies specifically for those who work with the traumatized or who are exposed to difficult material in their roles as helpers. Click below to see a video on YouTube that Allie made in preparation for the course, or you can read the blog/written version of it here if you prefer that format.
Enjoy the rest of your week folks!
